Hi everyone,
It took forever but I finally (almost) finished my ultra-enhanced Tiny Arcade port of my old Arduboy game, Radical Racing: Rivalry, or R3 for short.
So, here it is:
Radical Racing: Rivalry Refueled.
It is a drag racing game, inspired by Dragster for the Atari 2600. As with all drag racing games, old and new, the goal of the game is to shift gears as fast and as efficiently as possible and beat your opponent or your best time. The README file of the game has more info, you can find it
here. The release archive is located
here, just unzip it to your micro SD card, and you should be good to go.
I'm not sure about compatibility, I know it runs well on my Tiny Arcade, so Tiny Arcade and Pocket Arcade should run just as well.
There is no sound, the original version didn't have any, and I'll probably add it in the next release if people like the game.
I've added some screenshots, most of them are from the Windows version of the game (I put together a simplified version of the TinyScreen library and, based on that, I wrote an SDL version of it - so I'm able to build the game and run it on Windows). There's one of the actual game running on the TinyArcade as well. I also published a
YouTube video which compares footage from the Arduboy version and its enhanced port, it's not great, filming the Tiny Arcade isn't easy, and it's slightly out of focus. I'll probably reshoot it and reupload it at some point.
Hope you enjoy it and let me know what you thought of it.
