TinyDuino Processors & TinyShields / How do I get 5V?
« on: February 24, 2016, 04:08:19 PM »
Hi! It seems that somewhat similar was asked, but the discussions were too deep for my pure programmer mind. I have no sense of circuits, sorry :(
So I have an SD card that logs data from accelerometer and IR sensor. If powered from USB everything works fine. If powered from accumulator or battery, IR sensor stops working. I've measured voltage between 5V and Gnd - it was like 2.1V.
Is it expected?
What steps should I take next?
Thanks!

General Discussion / Ammo counter
« on: April 29, 2014, 02:52:45 PM »
Hi all,

I`m back here inspired by new circuits available.

http://www.engadget.com/2011/02/01/modder-adds-fps-style-ammo-counter-to-automatic-weapon/ is what I`d like to to achieve with TinyDuino.
I`ve already checked a  https://tiny-circuits.com/tinyshield-compatibility/ and 7 led number display isn`t there yet but as per specification it uses the same analogue outputs as a Accelerometer.

Any chances to somehow solve it?

Hi,

I`m a noob in circuits and a mere programmer in fact. I have your board with

I managed to make these thing work in sync, and everything work fine with USB connected. I tried standalone mode with battery CR1632 and that was a fail. My TD sandwich cant boot up. If I connect it for a sec to the USB while the battery is there, and then disconnect, it boots up and works but digit leds barely glow and output from the IR sensor is lower than with the USB. I think the IR emitter glow is faint as well.
Any insights? Could that be due to wrong resistors? I don`t know how to calculate them, so part of their values are stolen as is from the internet, another was just pretty random o_O.

New Product Ideas / hull/body
« on: August 20, 2013, 04:25:43 AM »
Hi all,

I know that it`s not an electronic really, but I think it`s a reasonable idea to produce some hull/body for the tinyduino sandwich. I need one and the best option for me now is a 3D print, but there are few thing that can`t be easily achieved with it. Here is my list of needs, let`s see if anybody think it makes sense for anyone else:

  • Be solid and tightly fit the sandwich, probably have its own screws and buffers for the corner holes in boards, shockproof
  • Have one side transparent so that multiled or eInk or any other displa could be read
  • Probably have the same connector as boards have and have a wire or slot connector outside of the hull
  • Be waterproof in the closed state
  • Some
