No problem, I'm glad it was helpful to you.  I'll be adding tutorials for the Bluetooth and Ambient light shield this week.

I looked at the datasheet and it appears

BLE112 with integrated chip antenna and software version 1.0

The antenna is an integrated ceramic  on-board type, I'm not sure it supports an external antenna. (Ken correct me if I'm wrong)

Transmit power: +3 dBm
Receiver sensitivity: -93 dBm
Typical line-of-sight range: 30 - 150 meters
Antenna  Type: Integrated ceramic chip

Perhaps Ken will make a v2 or BLE+ shield that will allow external antennas.

You can find more information here: https://www.bluegiga.com/en-US/products/bluetooth-4.0-modules/ble112-bluetooth--smart-module/

I will be posting a basic tutorial video on the WiFi TinyShield to YouTube soon, I'll post to the User Code / Example section as well as here when it's done and uploaded.

This shield is a fantastic piece of work!

This is great but you should share code to get it to work with the TinyLily! :)

This is a great piece of code that I did not know existed as well, good post!

And what is the status on your progress? :)

I saw these and thought they were really cool :)

jdh,

I'm going to do a follow up video hopefully soon, have you made any nifty projects with your Tinyduino?

Just created a quick video showing off the TinyDuino and TinyLilly on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6fUuYmetzI

Shows various components and compares sizes to other micro controllers, etc... figured it was worth sharing! :)

I third this, also not just having a small battery with a connector for Tinyduino/lily but also making a secondary bus where these could easily be chained together with minimal effort, so if you need new power you just plug more batteries into each other in sequence with a connector similar to the Tiny's bus connector, snap and go!

Recently doing an EL wire costume for my daughter for Halloween I agree that this is an interesting shield that should be developed.  I don't see everyone hopping for one but it would sell!
