Tiny Arcade & Pocket Arcade / Tiny arcade stuck in bootloader mode

My son has had this for a while now and loves it. We even downloaded all the games to SD. Unfortunately, now, after a few months of everything working fine, it is now not booting up and seems to be such on the black "bootloader mode". Can folks please advice on how to resolve the issue?
