Has anyone used the accelerometer to successfully build a pedometer or something similar? I just ordered all the parts for the smart watch + the accelerometer and was hoping to make a smart watch with step counts.

Side note: Has anyone heard of converting accelerometer data to activity counts?

Any advice is welcomed and appreciated.
