Since the Thumby still powers on but the switch isn't working properly after water exposure, it's likely there's residual moisture or corrosion affecting the power switch circuit. I'd recommend leaving it powered off (if possible) and placing it in a sealed container with silica gel packets or uncooked rice for at least 48 hours to help draw out any remaining moisture. If the issue persists, the switch or board may have shorted, in which case reaching out to TinyCircuits support for a hardware check or possible repair would be a good next step.
I recently got a Thumby, and it was great until I accidentally washed it in my pocket. Everything seems to work fine except for the power switch. When I try to turn it off, it just displays the TinyCircuits logo and boots to the start screen. I've tried letting the battery run out, but whenever I charge it, it either boots back up or shows static on the screen. Do you have any suggestions gunspin?
