Title: About the analog joystick on the new joystick tinyshield
Post by: jisaowang on October 07, 2014, 09:01:14 AM
Hi Gentlemen,

I find the new tinyscreen project and the very interesting joystick tinyshield on kickstarter. I found the small SMT joystick is very special and I can't find any information about it on internet. Does any of you have any idea about it? Thanks!

I hope I can use it in my own design shield board. Thanks

Cheers!

Hello everyone,
I agree with jisaowang that these joysticks look amazing (thanks to TinyCircuit for the link). Although I've spent an hour searching online for the reference of the cap  (I even contacted the joystick manufacturer) but couldn't find it.
Would you mind giving the joystick's cap reference as well? Thanks! :)
Cheers!

Yep- they're awesome and, by my research, unique in size and quality. We had the same experience- there seem to be no caps or even a design available, so you're on your own. I've been working on a simple OpenSCAD model(which we'll publish) that can be SLA resin printed with a press fit- it should be just about ready, we're waiting on the final test batch to confirm.
