Title: TinyZero Charge Current
Post by: greg.brougham on December 23, 2021, 07:20:34 AM
Hi, is anyone able to provide the charge current that TinyZero provides to the battery?

I have not been able to find it in any of the specifications but noted that the Tiny Battery Charger is 100 mA  (500mA with a resistor change)

Comparing the schematic (https://github.com/TinyCircuits/TinyCircuits-Tiny_Peripherals-Batt_Charger-ASL2112/raw/master/design_files/ASL2112.pdf (https://github.com/TinyCircuits/TinyCircuits-Tiny_Peripherals-Batt_Charger-ASL2112/raw/master/design_files/ASL2112.pdf)) for the Tiny Battery Charger (populated with a 10K resister as the default, where the schematic note indicates that it is configured for 100mA charging current) & the schematic (https://github.com/TinyCircuits/TinyCircuits-TinyZero-ASM2021/raw/master/design_files/TinyZero_Schematic_Rev5.pdf (https://github.com/TinyCircuits/TinyCircuits-TinyZero-ASM2021/raw/master/design_files/TinyZero_Schematic_Rev5.pdf)) for the TinyZero processor (which also has a 10K resistor), I would guess that the TinyZero will be providing 100mA of charging current.

Thanks Mark. I suspected it was the same as the tiny battery charger
