Curious on a way to mod my TinyTV mini to be "hardwired" aka always plugged in. I know I can just leave the cable plugged in the all the time but the way it comes out of the top of the TV housing makes it inconvenient to do so. Any ideas? Please feel free to point me in the right direction if a forum has already been made for this. Thanks!
yes, you can make it effectively always-on / hardwired, but the cleanest options are all about how you handle the power + power button behavior.

If you're opening the case anyway, I'd look at relocating the USB power connection to the back or bottom of the housing. That would keep the cable out of the way while avoiding any permanent changes to the electronics. Have you checked whether the TinyTV automatically powers on when USB power is applied, or does it still require pressing the power button?
I'm thinking of routing the power connection through the back or bottom of the case instead, which should make it much cleaner for permanent use. I'd also look into whether the power button can be bypassed or configured so the TV starts automatically whenever USB power is connected.
