I recently ordered a Tiny Video Player Kit and a separate remote. Can I use the remote with this kit. If so, what do I need to do to get it working. Thanks so much.

Yes. The Tiny Video Player Kit includes an IR receiver on the microSD/Audio TinyShield, so it can receive commands from a compatible IR remote.
