Title: e-Ink Screen Connector Outbreak Board
Post by: renatodasil on May 20, 2013, 05:23:10 AM
Hi there wonderful TinyCircuits  forum,

I have been working with some projects that would require only 4-5 lines of screen estate. The only thing that makes these kinds of projects a cost barrier is that they need to be implemented in smartphones, or phones that can present such lines on screen. Having just enough screen real estate is perhaps a very general requirement, and so

-- can we have a TinyDuino with circuitry that will be able to send characters and sometimes graphics to something like this:

e-Ink displays are cheap, reliable, and cost-effective. They are robust and resistant to scratch and dirt. Also are incredibly good for daylight viewing. One feature I am particularly interested in these beauts is the ability to persist content on screen once power is off, making it good items for labelling or even for scanning purposes.

Such screens would work wonderful connected to small circuits.

If it can be done, life would be wonderful !!!   8)

Best Regards to All!!!!!!!!!!

Do the screens come with a build in Driver/controller?
