i would like to put rgb led on proto, shield. ordinary through hole leds are bulky compared to the proto-shield.
I would like to know if there are single flat  led   i can use on the proto shield.
(like the ones on led shield) or any advice where to buy one.

switches buttons will be welcomed.

tinylily actually have those parts(leds switches) but a bit big and I don't know if i can use them.

A good option for this would be a neopixel, which is a single chip smart tricolor LED.  Adafruit has these:

Hi ken,

when i looked at the specs of several rgb leds breakout boards,  operating voltage is usually 5V
and i'm using 3V coin cell battery.

for instance in the the product specs you pointed to in adafuit is written:

5-9VDC power (can run at 3.5V but color will be dimmed),

thakx

joseph.
