I have a Tinyduino starter kit with the PROTO TERMINAL BLOCKS TINYSHIELD.

I have a servo hooked up to pin 9 via a screw terminal.  I have the red wire and the black wire in 5V and GND, respectively.

I am using the "Sweep" example.

When I connect the USB cable the program runs correctly.  The servo moves.  When I disconnect the cable and run off of the lithium battery the servo does not move.

My board works fine when I'm using the "Blink" example, regardless of whether the USB cable is connected or not.  So I know the board can work off of the lithium battery.

Any thoughts on what I need to do to get a servo to respond from the lithium polymer cell?

Jim

Ok I solved the problem by connecting the servo to Vcc.  I guess the 5V terminal is for USB power only.
