If you look at some of the boards you can see that the traces and components are in a round area, so if you wanted to you can cut them to be round.

Of course, shields like the Bluetooth and wireless are to big to be round.

we also have a ribbon cable coming out that lets you have two stacks in two different spots

New Product Ideas / Re: 3G Shield

We have one prototype shield, but it's going to be a while before that shield will get released. This might be a good shield to do a kick starter for to help drive down the cost.

You would need two of them, one for the computer and then one for the TinyDuino, but yes that should work

For my robot pony ears I pigtailed a wire from ground to a bunch of other ground wires It wasn't very pretty but it worked.

Later I took and rewired my 5 ground wires to have 2 wires to one and then 3 wires to one. Made it much more manageable.

You could take and modify another protoboard, remove its connector and just use it as a terminal / bus bar, where you connect all your grounds in a row and then solder then together on the bottom. And since you removed the connector you can place it in the stack.

Just a thought

We do have a battery charger shield in the works, but it's only for Lithium batteries , I don't think that the coin cells are rechargeable.

New Product Ideas / Re: Extra PWM shield / servo control shield
« on: October 24, 2014, 02:36:21 PM »
Well, kind of same as your other post but ok.
I was thinking of a shield for controlling stepper motors.

There is talk about making the DC motor shield so that it uses I2C, that way you can have more motors using more shields.

The sensor board is getting a remake too. so be sure to look for those when they come out, for all your Robot needs.

New Product Ideas / Re: Tinyduino Parallel Shields Board

OH man, now that I want to tell you about it I can't find the link. But yes! we have a tiny circuit ribbon cable shield where you can have to separate stacks of boards connected together.

Um, you can drive up to 8 servo's directly from the TinyDuino.  :)

Take a look at my Robot Ears, They have 4 servos driving all at once:

Of course, this uses up 4 of the digital I/O lines :(  We have talked about making a servo driver shield, so one is in the works.

New Product Ideas / Re: General Display Driver Shield

I think the TinyShield has a driver chip built in.

For an analog display? That may be a bit more difficult. maybe we can make an RF-converter shield similar to the ones you'd use for a gaming system?

Well we have:
1 wifi
2 USB
3 blutooth
4 I2C
5 Ethernet

Is that what your talking about?

General Discussion / Re: tiny screen/Display

will the tiny screen be usable with arduino ?
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kenburns/tinyscreen-a-color-display-the-size-of-your-thumb
This is a major question to me thanks for replying ..
I was un able to find the answer anywere
It scares me if i by one and there will be not cheap way to adapt it it zill be a mess !

Thanks Leo .

You mean like a standard BIG Arduino? I would say no. Well you can connect the TinyScreen to the Tinyshield proto blocks:

https://tiny-circuits.com/tiny-shield-proto-terminal-blocks.html

Just buy it without the green blocks. then you can solder it to any type of arduino you want.

This looks cool! I'll have to show it to some of the guys at work, they are big gun nuts.

What's the IR sensor for again?

Can you solder the sensor to the small proto shield instead of attaching it to the BIG terminal one?

UGGG! Google Earth is being dumb!

I tried to open you GPS file in Google Earth on my laptop but it pops up some error message but the message disapeers before I can see what it says !!!

I took a look at the file and it has data in it.  I'll bug Ken about it the next time I see him.

User Projects / Code Examples / Re: Tiny Offline Activity Tracker

I was talking about this idea with Ben, we are thinking about using an eprom shield instead of the SD card since the SD card can be somewhat power hungry.

There are some eprom / flash shields in the works
