TinyDuino Processors & TinyShields / Dual Motor Tiny Shield with LEDs
« on: November 15, 2020, 01:19:38 PM »
This is probably crazy talk but is there any reason I couldn't use a Dual Motor Tiny Shield to drive a batch of LEDs?  Specifically, I have 4 LEDs (350 ma - 3.4 V) connected in parallel with a 10-ohm resistor per LED.  Thus,  the total current draw is 1400 ma.  I'm using a 6V battery as the voltage source.  It occurs to me that this would allow me to use PWM to control the brightness of the LEDs.

Crazy?  and Thanks

TinyDuino Processors & TinyShields / Tri-Colored LEDs
« on: November 04, 2020, 06:30:42 PM »
I'm trying to figure out how to hook up some Tri-Colored LEDs to a TinyDuino with a PROTO TERMINAL BLOCKS TINYSHIELD.  The LEDs I'm looking at have 4 wires and the following specs.
DC 2V-2.2V(R) 3V-3.2V (G/B) Volt 20mA, Polarity (2 V) : Cathode "-" (Longer Leg) | Anode "+" (Shorter Leg)

So If I read this right, The red requires a different V than the G/B.  I'd like to wire up 4 of these LEDs

I'm certainly no EE so any help you can give on how to hook this up would be appreciated.  And I probably need some hints as to how to write the code too.

Or if you have a better way to approach this, I'm not stuck on these LEDs :)

Thanks so much for your kind attention.

TinyDuino Processors & TinyShields / Motor x4
« on: November 02, 2020, 06:24:17 PM »
I'm starting a new project and I have a Motor X4 Tiny Shield that I purchased several years ago.  I  understand that it's obsolete, but is there any reason I shouldn't use it as opposed to buying a new Dual Motor shield? BTW  I only need 2 motors.

TinyDuino Processors & TinyShields / Unknown USB Device
« on: November 27, 2015, 12:56:00 PM »
Everything was working fine and then it wasn't.  I can no longer connect to my TinyDuino.  The Device Manager says "Unknown USB Device ( Device Descriptor Request Failed)".
I have tried:
    Reloading the FTDrivers.
    Changing USB Cables.
Connecting with and without the TinyDuino attached to the USB adapter
       board.
Searching the TinyCircuits forums and reading lots of other places.

Could I have damaged the USB adapter some how?

Thanks for your time.
