TinyDuino / Re: BLE Board Upload Issue
« on: October 10, 2013, 10:22:25 AM »
I'm trying to keep my platform mobile but it needs more power than from a button cell so if I can use a USB cell phone charger to power a Bluetooth connection, that would be great!

Is it possible to power the TinyDuino with the USB board with a battery pack (cell phone backup battery) while using the BLE board?

TinyDuino / BLE Board Upload Issue
« on: September 04, 2013, 10:20:25 PM »
I received my Bluetooth LE board a couple days ago and finally got a chance to test it out. The problem is that when I have it connected, I cannot successfully upload to the TinyDuino. I can upload the blink without the BLE board attached, then attach it after powering down, and it will work when it is powered on again. If I try to upload the sketch (or any other sketch) with the BLE board connected, it gives me the following error in the console:

avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00

I noticed a similar issue on the TinyLily forum, but the only solution suggested was simply to upload without anything connected and then connect it afterwards. Is this really the only solution?

I absolutely see where this would have practical application. Nice idea.

I think this could be useful. I haven't used it, but it seems suitable.

Thanks for the link, this looks very promising. Definitely something I'll want to look into for low power projects.

This gets my vote because the idea of an autonomous vehicle with a charging station sounds awesome, but I'm curious what would be inductively charged? I'm not aware of any powerful and rechargeable coin cell batteries that would make it worth inductively charging. I'm planning on powering my projects with a portable cell phone charger as a result. If the logistics could be worked out however, I'd certainly get one.

I would like to second this one. The idea of a small shield (potentially with a ribbon connector for proper placement that could be used to guide a small UAV or rover. I would really like some sort of visual sense for a robot powered by the Tinyduino platform.

I would like to vote for this as well!
