General Discussion / Tinyscreen+ SerialUSB with libraries
« on: March 16, 2018, 10:29:18 AM »
Hi All,

is there a way to use libraries that need a normal serial object in combination with the serialusb of the tinyscreen+ ? Because i can't just go and change the source of each library.

General Discussion / Re: Raspberry Pi desktop on tiny screen

We do something similar. Our core product runs a standard pi3 and it is connected to the tinyscreen+ through a serial connection. We have got a small menu system to setup the ip address on the pi etc. And we show some stats. But we don't use it as a display driver (or something like that), but that is because we run a linux version with out any desktop etc. So we have got a small program that is running as a daemon on the pi. It communicates with the Tinyscreen+ module.

I am a c# programmer by trade, so i am working hard on brushing up my c++ skills. I wrote a small gui lib for this project, i am thinking about putting it up on GitHub, but i first need to clean up the code  :-X

General Discussion / Re: Project Feasibility

Well the part about sending etc will be possible, that is pretty easy. I don't know if bluetooth is the easiest option for this, but that all depends on your programming skills. Because there needs to be some software on the pc (or mac) that processes the data. Do you need it realtime? Else you could log to an sd card for example. That is easier and you can just import it into excel by putting the sd card into your pc.

I have worked with load cells before, but that was for lifting purposes with chain hoists. I am trying to decide if it will work fencing swords  :o

General Discussion / Tinyscreen+ menu system
« on: June 12, 2017, 04:49:58 PM »
Hi all,

i was wondering if there is anybody here that has adapted one of the existing menu libraries for the Tinyscreen+ modules? I am currently looking at : https://github.com/DynamicPerception/OMLibraries/blob/master/OMMenuMgr/OMMenuMgr.h

But if somebody already did a menu system for the Tinyscreen+ then i wouldn't have t reinvent the wheel again.
