Title: ProtoShield with connector on both sides (for inside the stack)
Post by: gerardf on October 24, 2012, 07:55:32 PM
I would like to see a proto shield with connector on both sides so it would fit inside the stack. The contacts do not necessarily need to be "through holes" as one can solder the needed cables for the extension either from the top or the bottom. There is even no need to have ALL contacts available on both sides. This way we could have two end-stack places for display, LED.....

Hi,
I second this. Especially with the upcoming GPS shield, which needs to go on top of the stack.
Regards,
Alf

Yeah, this is a must have for me too, good idea!

Some of this need would be reduced by having a few of the IO pins broken out at the corners of the square board version with some solder jumpers like in my other thread suggestion.  I'd still love one of these though either way.  Both is better!

Sounds good, I'll ask the boss about it.
