Title: Text got scrambled on Tinyscreen+
Post by: Rio6 on December 21, 2019, 06:05:39 PM
Yesterday when I was trying to reset my Tinyscreen+ by using a needle to flick its power switch (because the case made it hard to do it with my fingers). It was a bit clumsy and I may had shorted some connections in the process. After that, the text on the bottom part of the screen become scrambled as shown in the attached image.

Does anyone have an idea on what caused that and if it's fixable?

Thanks for any help

Hello,

Are you still experiencing issues with the bottom text on the TinyScreen+?

There aren't many things by the switch that would possibly harm the hardware, but I am curious to know if turning the unit off & on and then reprogramming it would help.

Let me know if you end up figuring it out!

Thank you

Hi

The problem persists even after reflashing and reconnect power. I'm guessing that the bus connecting the main board to the screen got damaged, although I can't see anything wrong on it.

Right now I reprogrammed it so it only uses the top 3/4 of the screen. There's also a 6px high strip near the button that's not affected. But if I draw anything in the area, lines would appear across it.
