Title: Uploading Code to the TinyLily
Post by: brad on August 16, 2013, 05:19:56 PM
Hey all,

I'm having a ton of trouble consistently uploading code to the TinyLily. One day it will work perfectly, I can get code on it, and the next I'm plagued with all kinds of errors. The most common error is that the IDE allows me to upload code once, but then when I try again, it responds with the console error below.

avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00

Now, I'm unable to even upload anything, it just gives me the generic "Can't upload to board". I have tried different sketches, different TinyLilies, different USB headers, even different computers, and nothing has worked. I sporadically can upload a sketch, which continues to run as long as the TinyLily is powered, so I know the chip itself is working.

The entire systems works, it's just so sporadic that I have been unable to actually do anything with the chip. Does anyone have an idea what might be going wrong?

Lol.. Did you try to use different TinyLily Mini USB Adapter? Maybe you broke it :)

If you was like me, I buy various TinyLily and only one USB Adapter. If you broke it, will need a new one (or try to fix it).

hahaha... You sent me a curse!!! Today I get this message!!!

For one moment I thought I will have the same problem... But I solve it. UNPLUG every cable, make the tiny lily be free from everything. Then send the program and it works.

I see a problem like this when I plug my original arduino in a bad config. Just unplug and it works again.
