Title: Programmer not responding
Post by: StevenHouben on April 21, 2013, 07:11:56 AM
Hello all,

I just received 2 TinyDuinos. However when trying the blink sketch one of the board
does not responds and the IDE returns "avrdud: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding".
The green led of the board blinks once when I connect the usb cable.

The IDE settings are correct as the sketch works fine on the other board. Any suggestion on how
to debug/fix this?

Thanks,

Steven

Hi Steven,

Is it the same USB TinyShield used in both cases?  If so, make sure the connector between the USB TinyShield at the processor board are well connected.   If it continues, I'd suspect that there is an issue on the TinyDuino processor board with the connection.  If so, we'll replace this board and get you out a new one, just email me directly at kburns@tiny-circuits.com and let me know.

Thanks,

I got my TinyDuino Starter Kit and I'm having the same issue with TinyShield USB & ICP Board. I have tested the cable and blink program with an Arduino Micro and it works perfectly. However with the Tiny Duino I get the avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding error.

Sounds like I need to replace my board as well?
